Scanpan is manufactured in Denmark and was founded in
1956 and is now the largest manufacturer of pressure cast
aluminum cookware in Europe.
Scanpan has long been our favorite non-stick cookware.
(and our biggest seller) The aluminum core is forged
using 200 tons
of pressure, creating a solid, even base
to maintain
consistent cooking throughout the pan.
There are no "hot spots" and the superior heat transfer
allows you to use no higher than medium heat for cooking.
The ScanPan ceramic-titanium surface, is made using
NASA technology.
The two materials are heated up to
36,000°F at which point it liquefies, that liquid is then
shot into the pan base at twice the speed of sound!
This causes to surface material to fuse with and actually
become part of the aluminum. There is no warping, peeling,
chipping, etc. This fantastic surface actually allows
you to use metal utensils without harm to the pan and
there is a Lifetime replacement warranty!
