Raclette takes its name from the
French word "racler" meaning to scrape.
The traditional recipe for 
making Raclette calls for exposing 
a quarter wheel or more of the 
cheese to an open fire,
and, when the cheese is 
warm enough, scraping
off a piece onto a plate of 
boiled potatoes.
Serve with cornichons and ham.
 

One Half Raclette Cheese Maker

This wonderful Raclette Cheese Set is the perfect
accompaniment to a great evening. Just place a half 
round of Raclette cheese into the holder and 
switch on the heat. In minutes you can
scrape the savory melted cheese onto
 your potatoes, ham or bread.
Serve to your guests with wine and 
cocktail onions and gherkens.
Our set includes a raclette cheese holder,
on a sturdy, lacquered steel base and a quartz 
light heating source to melt your cheese. 
The cheese holder swivels and slants downward 
so that the melted cheese can be easily scraped
onto a plate. This set is designed to accommodate either
a half round or a half square of raclette cheese.
