Quick Tomato Sauce    
   
     
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon olive oil½ chopped onion
¼ cup red wine
2 cloves garlic, minced
Pinch of salt


 
 
 
 
 
 
   
 

Sautè the onions in the olive oil, until translucent, add the garlic and sauté for
30 seconds more. Add the diced tomatoes, basil, and pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil, add the red wine, then lower heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
