Double-Dipped Strawberries

INGREDIENTS:

Double-Dipped Strawberries

36 Strawberries; unhulled and washed

1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

1 ½ cups white chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Dry berries with paper towels.
Melt chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in microwave until smooth,
about 20 seconds at a time, remove from the microwave and stir with a spoon,
until just melted.

Hold a berry by the green top and dip ¾ of the berry in the chocolate.
Let excess drip off, then place on a rack with paper towels underneath.

When hard, drizzle white chocolate over the chocolate. A fork makes
a great drizzler.

Place on the baking sheet, covered wax paper.

Repeat until finished. Chill until firm, about 20 minutes in the fridge.

Great for the kids to do. Have fun! There is no "wrong way"!

A terrific starter, a perfect dessert!

Keep chilled up to 8 hours ahead of time.
