Hands on
Tamales Heritage
Workshop |

Tucson native
Mardi and husband, Bob have been making and enjoying tamales
for years. They will be sharing their secrets for making authentic,
traditional
tamales with you. Come and learn generations of time-honored
methods (many
of them passed down
from Mardi's best friend, Olga's mom),
recipes,
and tricks to make
these
delicious tamales. As a "staple" around
our house, we always keep a few dozen tamales frozen for
a quick meal or fabulous addition to tacos or burritos.
This is a "Make and Take" class. |
Take home two dozen
wonderful Tamales.
|
|
Tamales are traditionally made as a group effort, usually by the
women in
the family getting together in the fall. Savor the deep
cultural bond
shared
by the tradition of making these
wonderful treats!
